Using the brand name "Genero" as a starting point, the goal of this assignment was to develop a line of packaging for an imaginary private label brand. The specific products were up to us, but the packaging we designed needed to be for three different items at different scales. I chose to design a line of craft supplies: knitting needles, thread, and yarn. I wanted the brand to be friendly, cheerful, creative, and fun to encourage creativity at all ages and skill levels. I used bright colors, an abstract pattern, and a cut-paper style typeface to align with my brand's mission: "Genero aims to provide high-quality arts and craft supplies that don’t come with a name-brand price tag. The brand offers a diverse range of tools and mediums with the hope that their products will inspire creativity and fun."
